The V-Core 4.1 Upgrade Kit delivers the most meaningful refinements of the platform to existing V-Core 4.0 machines, focusing on stability, integration, and day-to-day usability.
All-new full-metal toolhead architecture
A purpose-built, rigid toolhead with significantly improved part cooling, integrated with the Orbitool O2S toolboard. The result is a clean, single-cable toolhead connection with fewer cables, fewer connections, faster assembly, and simpler long-term maintenance.
Steel X-axis gantry
Eliminates bi-metal thermal distortion in the X-axis assembly, improving thermal stability and delivering more consistent, repeatable first layers, especially in enclosed setups.
To fully unlock these hardware improvements, the upgrade is designed to be paired with RatOS 2.1 — introducing smarter calibration behaviour through an improved compensation mesh, enhanced multi-point true zero measurement, and adaptive heat soak for greater consistency with less manual tuning.

The V-Core 4.1 Upgrade Kit brings the core 4.1 improvements to existing V-Core 4 machines, adding a steel X-axis gantry, full-metal toolhead, improving rigidity, cooling, and print consistency, unlocking smoother, more reliable performance with RatOS 2.1.

Centralizes all toolhead wiring into a single, clean umbilical, reducing connectors and failure points. Shorter, direct cables improve reliability, simplify assembly, and make maintenance far easier over the life of the machine.
