High Flow ObXidian HotEnd for Bambu Lab X1
E3D are very proud to be the only officially approved manufacturer of aftermarket Bambu Lab HotEnds! These ObXidian High Flow HotEnds were developed in collaboration with Bambu Lab, bringing you one of the most compact, lightweight and, more importantly, performant HotEnds to date.
High Flow. There’s no denying that the Bambu Lab X1 and P1 series printers are built for speed. However, the motion system, as remarkable as it is, has headroom to be even better. That’s where E3D High Flow technology comes in. Using our internal nozzle modification, we’ve managed to increase the volumetric flow rate of the HotEnd by 60%! That means you can expect more reliable and consistent extrusion at the same speeds or bump up the volumetric flow rate limit in the slicer to utilise the motion systems’ capabilities fully.
Smooth and Hard. We’ve applied our E3DLC™ coating to the nozzle and heater parts, adding even more abrasive resistance for all your fibre-filled fun and a non-stick protective layer to prevent plastic build-up on the Nozzle.
Improved Layer Adhesion. High speed printing often sacrifices visual and functional aspects in favour of speed but these Hotends maintain interlayer adhesion strength even at higher speeds; resulting in the correct filament finish and strong parts for functional applications. Don’t just take our word for it though – check out this video from Printing Perspective where he puts it to the test!
No compromise. All of these new additions come in the same form factor as your stock Bambu; simply reuse your temperature sensor and heater pads, and it drops in place with no adjustment to the mount or part cooling required. Complete the upgrade in under 5 mins with our installation video guide.
Compatibility. The E3D High Flow HotEnd is compatible with the X1, X1 Carbon, P1S, and P1P.
Please note:
- This product only contains the metal only parts. If you’d like to purchase a fully assembled version then you can do so here.
- ObXidian™ coated nozzles are exceptionally wear resistant compared to other products on the market and significantly outperform other hardened nozzles. Improvements in ‘exotic’ engineering filaments mean that some new materials which include aggressive fillers, including but not limited to Polymaker’s PolyMide range, can cause significant wear on even ObXidian nozzles. E3D is actively developing even more specialist solutions for these materials. In the meantime please be aware that even the rainbows and unicorns in your ObXidian nozzle are not everlasting under extreme material conditions.
